Chef Lee Cecchin
Lee is an accomplished Chef with 35 years’ experience working as a personal chef, caterer,and cooking instructor, she brings to the table her irresistible excitement about sharing fine food and wine with gatherings of family and friends
Lee has built her professional career and reputation on serving & cooking for the rich, famous, and Royalty, celebrities and catering events. Lee will ensure that the occasion is joyous and memorable. She adds exciting contemporary flair by incorporating fresh, seasonal, local ingredients from regional produce including bush flavours.
Over the years her clientele has included, HRH Princess Mary Denmark , Sheiks, political leaders including a number of celebrities and professional athletes. This has allowed Chef Lee to travel and work extensively both through Australia, Europe and Asia.
Chef Lee grew up in the outback mining town of Broken Hill NSW.
Lee grew up watching her grandmother cooking food and pastries from her native Germany, “I fell in love with food and recognized my gift from a young age” The smells that would emanate from her grandmother’s kitchen, this inspired Lee to discover the world of food, and gave her the start she needed to pursue her passion for cooking by leaving her home town and becoming an apprentice.
Chef Lee returned to her home town to teach at the local college teaching cookery to young apprentices.
In 2013 she decided to begin her own business. First as a private chef business, which grew into Chef Lee’s Catering. Then Lee decided to started of her own Gourmet Food products line which uses Australian bush foods as the inspiration for her creations.
Lee enjoys using her skills at charity fundraisers and sees it as an opportunity to give back to the community. Chef Lee shares her culinary gifts though teaching apprentices using traditional methods of cooking having taught at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu and TAFE colleges both in NSW and SA.
Chef Lee is a member of the highly acclaimed La Chaine des Rotisseurs , Les Toque Blanches club has accumulated prestigious awards including the Gold Medal from Tasting Australia, one of the top 10 of chefs Adelaide and gold whisk award of excellence to name a few.
